Let's face it not everyone loves the idea of having their photo taken! Trust me I know I'm one of those people. I have a really hard time letting my friends or family ever take photos of me. On the rare moment when I do, there is a lot of work involved hair, makeup, picking the right outfit it can be exhausting. 🙄
Now hold on, I know what your thinking. Chantell your right that's to much work. I don't want to book a photoshoot I'll just take pictures with my phone. This is where this guide is here to help! So take a deep breath, close your camera app and keep reading...
Tip number 1:
Just be yourself! I know it's harder then it sounds but trusts me you are beautiful just the way you are! If you are looking for photos for yourself, you're loved ones or the world in general. Well, guess what; chances are they already know what you look like and they love you just the way you are. So embrace your natural beauty! If you want to do your hair and makeup then just make sure it's not overdone. We want to see your beautiful eyes not a hundred layers of mascara!
Tip number 2:
Talk to your photographer! I am here for you I want to make sure all of my clients feel safe and beautiful during there shoot with me. I also love creative input if you have a crazy idea for a photoshoot or want to do something super artsy let me know we will find a way to make it happen. I am happy to help in any way I can!
Tip number 3:
Quality matters! Taking photos with your phone while great for a quick and silly snapchat to your friend. It is not great for the type of image that you want to frame on your wall. This is where a high-quality camera and editing experience is really so important. I will also tell you that if you are really trying to make a presence on social media it is so helpful to have beautiful and well done high-quality images available.
