Whimsy Takes Flight began as a photograph of hot air balloons rising into the dark, caught in that brief window between dusk and full night. Reworked stroke by stroke, the sky was pulled into slow, spiraling currents of blue and violet, with each star swirled into its own small orbit above the glowing balloons below. What was once a quiet evening scene becomes something closer to a fable — a sky that seems to be dreaming right alongside the balloons drifting through it. Part photograph, part painting, it's a piece built entirely around the feeling of lifting off.
